This is a combination of HST (814 nm is blue, 1500 nm is green and 3200 nm is red). Galaxies appear in red in the background that are very distant; some are gravitationally lensed — the strange arcs. The objects indicated with the squares are white dwarfs that we are studying to look for evidence of planetary systems.
